As the 15th century wanes and the 16th dawns, the maps of Europe end in conjecture and myth, their edges adorned with sea monsters and whispered legends:

Built upon the framework of the Red game system, Uncharted Seas’ mechanics were tailored to the unique challenges of maritime exploration and exploration of the unknown world.

As intrepid explorers, player characters navigate treacherous waters, facing both realistic maritime challenges and fantastical encounters. The game’s mechanics cover navigation, resource management, crew morale, naval combat, while also incorporating elements of the supernatural and mythical, such as miracles and alchemy.

Drawing inspiration from Luís Vaz de Camões’ epic poem The Lusiads, the game blends historical figures and events with legendary creatures and mystical locations. Players might cross paths with famous explorers like Vasco da Gama or seek out fabled lands like El Dorado. The possibilities are vast, ranging from uncovering historical mysteries like the fate of the Roanoke Colony to confronting mythical beings such as Adamastor, the spirit of the Cape of Good Hope (428 pages).
